AmeriCare® HomeCare of Oregon was born of personal experience.
Our principal, Charlotte faced the same challenge that many people experience today – worrying about their aging parent and realizing the challenges of balancing responsibilities of work and home while caring for a loved one. She recongnized early on that Quality of Life was a choice through pre-planning for her mothers care.

The decision to start AmeriCare® HomeCare of Oregon
started when Charlotte openly spoke of her challenges finding quality care for her 96 year old mother; she found many others experienced the same. It truly amazed her to find out how little most people understood home care and options available to them. She found that majority of the time families sought care solutions after an emergency when emotions run high and family dynamics at their peak. Charlotte was determined to make a difference and help families understand options available to them prior to a family crisis. “Family members should be able to focus on their loved ones, hold their hands, be a silent presence... not stressed out on the phone and internet franticly trying to educate themselves on best care options at the time the hospital prepares discharge papers” states Charlotte.
